Scope
This policy describes how GAE University collects, uses, and protects the personal information of website visitors, prospective students, and students.
Information we collect
- Contact details voluntarily provided in the information request forms: full name, email address, country of residence, phone or WhatsApp (optional), program of interest, preferred language, and message (optional). These data are sent by email to the Admissions team and are not stored on the website server.
- Standard technical browsing data (device type, pages visited), when the site is in production and analytics tools are active.
Use of information
Information is used exclusively to respond to admission requests, communicate relevant academic information, and improve the site experience. GAE University does not sell personal information. If you accept advertising cookies, Meta receives technical data about your browsing and certain actions on the site, as explained in the section “Advertising and the Meta pixel”.
Brochures, communications, and measurement
To access a promotional brochure we ask for first name, last name, email address, country of residence, and program of interest, and optionally a phone number. The brochure is delivered through a temporary, single-use code that contains no personal data. The official catalog and consumer information can be viewed without completing any form.
Consent to receive promotional communications is separate, optional, and not pre-checked. You may withdraw it at any time by writing to info@gaeuniversity.us.
The site may use Google Analytics to measure visits and actions, only if the person accepts measurement cookies. Until that tool is configured, no measurement service is loaded.
GAE University does not keep a database of requests on this website: the data arrive in the Admissions mailbox, and any later retention depends on the institution’s internal systems, including the future admissions management system.
Advertising and the Meta pixel
If you accept advertising cookies, we load the Meta pixel, a service provided by Meta Platforms. It lets us measure how many people reach the site from our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and show ads to people who visited pages of the site.
What Meta receives: the address of the pages you visit, the type of action (for example, viewing a program page or submitting a form), technical data about your browser and device, your IP address, and a browser identifier stored in a Meta cookie. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram in that browser, Meta may associate this activity with your account.
What we do not send: we do not send Meta your name, email, phone number or the content of forms. We only report that a form was submitted.
Basis and control: this happens only with your consent. You can withdraw it at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer of every page. Declining does not prevent you from using the site. Meta processes data under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy), and you can adjust the ads you see at facebook.com/adpreferences.
Duration: the Meta browser cookie (_fbp) lasts approximately 90 days.
Transfers: data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Meta operates.
Retention and security
Data are retained for as long as needed to handle the user’s request and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, with reasonable technical and organizational security measures.
User rights
Anyone may request that their personal data be updated or deleted by writing to info@gaeuniversity.us. You can withdraw your consent for measurement and advertising at any time from “Cookie preferences”.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect operational or regulatory changes. The effective date of the current version will be indicated on this page.
Catalog requests
Catalog download requests include the contact details and program of interest entered in the form. These are sent to Admissions to handle the request. Consent to promotional communications is optional and requested separately. The download link is temporary and can be used once.
Cookies and browser storage
We use local browser storage to remember your accessibility settings and cookie choice for up to 180 days. You may accept or reject optional measurement and advertising cookies separately, and change your choice using “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Rejecting them does not prevent you from using this site. No measurement or advertising tag loads before you authorize it.
Tag management and consent
Google Tag Manager manages the optional measurement and advertising tags. It loads only after you accept an optional category, and each tag works only for the category you accepted: measurement with “Measurement”; the Meta pixel with “Advertising”. A first-party cookie, gae-gtm-consent, stores the acceptance date for up to 180 days so your choice can also be respected if JavaScript is later disabled. Without valid prior acceptance, the fallback does not contact Google. Withdrawing consent removes that cookie and reloads the page to stop loaded tags.
